This painting inspired by Kama Sutra, an ancient Indian Sanskrit text and expression on the art of eroticism in India. While traveling there, I was intrigued by the intricacies of sculptures that covered the outside/inside of achitecture, some dating back to 1600’s, in which vividly portrayed sexuality. These figures would sometimes decorate the outside pillars of a fort (a castle like building) and resemble bodies dancing, entangled and intertwining with eachother. There was a lot of movement within this ancient figures, expressing this lust for erotic love.
